Statement of Faith
We believe that the Bible, the Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God — authoritative, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe in the historical elements of Christian faith as set forth in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed.
We believe that there is one true and living God, existing eternally in three Persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit – who are equal, indivisible, divinely perfect and of one essence.
We believe that all mankind, made male and female, were created in the image of God. We believe mankind is fallen, corrupted through the fall of the first Adam, when he sinned by disobeying God and incurring for all of mankind not only physical death, but spiritual death, which is separation and alienation from God. We believe the nature of all mankind is corrupted, and no one is able to please God without the regeneration and rebirth by the Holy Spirit.
We believe that salvation is a gift of God, granted through God’s free grace and not from any works of human effort. Christ’s righteousness is imputed by God to those who put their faith alone in Christ for their salvation.
We believe that the Church consists of all who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior, regardless of denominational beliefs. Christ is the head of the Church, which is His Body and His Bride.
We believe that Christian men and women should live for the glory of God and the well-being of others. We believe Christians should seek to grow in Christlikeness, realizing for themselves and for others the full stature of maturity in Christ.
